Baptism

On Sunday, Peter was baptized at the First Presbyterian church in Cedar Rapids.

He had a beautiful baptism gown. We got him ready in the church parlor.

Here we are with Pastor Miller after the service. Peter is fast asleep.

And with my parents...

It was such a great morning. After the service, we got in the car and drove to Nebraska to see Grandpa Don and Grandma Pam and Peter's Great Grandmother Irene. Pics from that trip will be coming soon...

Peter and the Ladies

Yesterday, we went to visit friends and Peter was the lucky boy in a whole group of girls. Carrie, who is sitting next to me, is holding her daughter Avery. Avery is just a week older than Peter. Her other daughter, Ella, is next to her. And next to Ella is Katie Uitenbroek, Lynsey's oldest girl. Lynsey is holding her other two daughters, Chloe and Avery, on her lap. Peter loved hanging out with these great girls!

Happy Thanksgiving

Peter's first Thanksgiving was so fun. He was the life of the party. Here he is with his great grandmother, Nanny.

Four generations together...

Peter hung out with cousin Sally for about a minute until he spit up everywhere.

He sat with his dad at the dinner table...

And enjoyed the conversation with Nonnie, Mac, Silke and Uncle Tom across the way.

Aunt Mary and her three kids - Andy, David and Sally.

Peter sat on my lap and checked out the whole group.

He was excited to meet cousin Billie.

And really glad to see Mac again. Peter first met Mac when he was just two days old.

And here's our little family... What a great Thanksgiving!

Iowa Friends

We've been able to see lots of friends in Iowa. When we were at Ballards, Lucy was so good. She held Peter and also helped give him a bottle.

This is my godmother, Stevie, with Peter and me.

Peter loves wearing his stocking cap from Marilyn. He hasn't had a chance to wear it in Los Angeles yet.

We went over to Andersons, and Peter got to hang out with Lynsey and two of her girls, Katie and Avery. Peter and Lynsey have met before.

We had such a good time with the girls. Check out Peter and Avery holding hands.

This is Peter with Lynsey's parents, Dr. and Mrs. Anderson.

Dr. Anderson was my pediatrician when I was a baby. It was pretty fun to see him with my little baby.

Peter's first airplane ride

On Tuesday, Peter, Ben and I left LA and flew to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for Thanksgiving. We were really nervous, but Peter was just great. Here we are pre-flight at LAX at 5am. Awesome.

On the plane...

Check it out. Peter got his wings!

Waffles!

Every year on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, Ben and I make waffles and mimosas for breakfast to celebrate the start of the hoildays. This year, we'll be traveling, so we decided to do it today instead. So, while Peter was taking his morning nap, we kicked off the holiday season.

We had a special bottle of Proseco that Ben bought just a few days before Peter was born. It was signed by our favorite Top Chef contestant, Fabio, at the grocery store across the street from our house. He wrote, "Annabelle, come say hi in September with your little boy."

This is Fabio.

This is the Proseco.

And these are the mimosas.

We also had delicious french press coffee, and while we were enjoying our brunch, we kept an eye on our sleeping baby via the video monitor.

And here is the finished product. Yum!

Peter's Friends

Today, Peter and I got together with some other moms and babies from babygroup for some wine and snacks and lots of floor time.

Below is Erica, our hostess, and Melanie, Ryan's mom. Ryan and Peter were born on the same day.

That's Ryan sitting with Erynn, while her daughter, Tatum, napped on the floor.

This is Claire with daughter, Alexandra.

Erynn and Tatum. Tatum is the youngest in the group.

This is Lauren with her son, Oliver. Oliver is one day younger than Peter.

Sally and Camden. Peter and Camden have hung out before.

Fun afternoon with a really fun group!

Intermediate Tummy Time

Today, Peter and I went to our favorite park for some activity. I would say outdoor tummy time qualifies as intermediate level for sure.

Check out that head strength!

What a show off. I was so impressed.
