Backlog

These pics have been on my phone for a while. I finally got around to downloading them today. 

Brother and sister finally have fun at the park together now, which is very cool. When he is not pushing her off of the park equipment, Peter likes to show Clara how things work. 

Poor Peter. This is what it looks like to have the stomach flu. Thank goodness for all of his friends. A giraffe and two monkeys are the cure for any sickness. 

Checking out the fish tank at the mall. Wondering if they would notice if I left them to sneak into Bloomingdale's for a minute. 

Here is Peter riding a motorcycle and wearing a fire helmet at a place in our neighborhood called The Playroom. If you can believe it, I am the mayor of this place on Foursquare. It's a super neat accomplishment. I'm proud.

There's my mister. He's been very into digging, and then throwing, dirt and sand lately. We have a little work to do on that. 

Hi, Bear.

We went out for dinner on Ben's birthday. Strip mall sushi with a Michelin star. Very fun and very delicious. 

Happy Birthday, Ben. I love this part of the year when we are the same age for a few months. 

Incredibly delicious stuff. 

Another day, another park. It have a feeling that licking the railing on the ramp might have contributed to the cold she has now. Darn it. 

Sunday Night Dance Party

We love dance parties at our house, and tonight was no exception. 

Climbing Trees

We had a super fun adventure at Franklin Canyon Park the other day. 

We had no idea that the park existed until a friend from Peter's school told us about it. Turns out it is practically in our backyard. 

It has a very cool duck pond. 

There are also lots of trails for hiking,

Rocks to sit on, 

Trees to climb, 

and benches for picnics.

Both kids loved it, and it made Ben and I feel a little bit like we were back in the Midwest rather than right in the middle of the second biggest city in the US. 

Peter has been talking about climbing the trees ever since we returned. 

 We'll go back soon, I promise.

Music Makers

This morning, we took our two little musicians to a class at Ladybug Music. 

These guys are available to play at your next party, if you're interested. 

And she's excellent with a maraca. 

It's hard to know what to do when you're given a big stick. Drumming is one option. Sucking on it is another. 

This place is pretty fun!

Back to Normal

This crazy boy spent all day on Saturday wearing undies over his pants. 

Nice style, Peter. 

Clara had her first Gymboree class on Sunday. 

"What is this place and why are there so many obstacles?" 

"I'd like one of those balls, please." 

After the holidays, visitors and the flu, we are finally feeling like things are back to normal at our house and loving every boring minute.
