Christmas + Nonnie and Moe!

We had a really wonderful Christmas. I think Santa brought everything the kids wanted, including this policeman helmet that has been at the top of Peter's list since Thanksgiving.

And a little piano, or "pliano" if you are Peter.

Clara absolutely loves her purple zebra!

And Peter thought it was really fun to rock out on his ukelele.

Both kids got cool scooters. They love them (despite the way Clara looks in this pic).

This plasma car is pretty fun, too!

Scooter twins.

Nonnie and Moe arrived on Christmas and it has been non-stop fun ever since.

How strange is it to see my mom riding in the way back of our car along with the strollers and groceries? Obviously, we need a bigger car. Sorry, Mom.

Starbucks is even better with grandparents.

Tonight, these luckies got to have a movie night.

We have three more days with Nonnie and Moe and are excited for more fun times!

Dancing Like a Princess

If you have 2+ minutes to kill, this is a good one...

Clara received a purple tutu and wand from her friend, Marley, at school as a holiday gift. Peter pretty much hasn't let Clara near them since she opened them yesterday.

To complete Peter's princess ensemble, we made crowns for both kids.

Brrrrr!

It is 45 degrees in LA right now and we are FREEZING! Getting bundled up is pretty cute though.

A Meerkat in the Manger

Tonight was the annual Christmas program at Peter's school.

Before the show started, Clara got to hang out with her friends, Marley and Sophie.

Nice thug life pose, Clara.

This is the preschool director, Meghan, introducing the program.

Clara was a good audience member. She'll get her turn to be in the Christmas pageant next year.

The show started off with a total tear jerker -- a slideshow with pics of all the kids.

Then the kids came out. The oldest children were the shepherds, the middle kids were the angels and the friends in Peter's class were the animals. It was very cute stuff.

Here is Peter with his class singing "Away in a Manger".

Surely there were meerkats in the manger, right?

The pageant was so cute and so fun. Peter loved it and so did we!

Old Friends

Last week, our great friends, The Harris Family, came to visit from Kansas City.

We haven't seen them for a long time and it was so fun to get the kids together. (Their two youngest kids stayed at home.)

Cuties. Prom dates?

Sillies.

This was the last time the kids got together. It was pre-Clara! We had so much fun seeing them. I wish they still lived in LA!

Getting in the Spirit

This weekend, we are really getting into the Christmas spirit. We kicked off the day by opening Advent calendars from Nonnie and Moe.

"Thank you, Nonnie and Moe!" What could be better than chocolate at breakfast?

This afternoon, we went out to get a Christmas tree.

Which one?

Wonder why they're so serious? It might have been the guy with the chainsaw behind me cutting the trunk off of a gigantic tree.

What a fun place!
