Christmas Recap

We had such a fun Christmas this year. Check out these two cute boys hanging out by the tree on Christmas Eve.

Nonnie visited from Iowa and made a delicious Christmas Eve dinner.

Myshka did an inventory of all the gifts, and found that Peter had more under the tree than her. Sorry, Mysh!

Cousin Ted came over for Christmas Eve dinner. He and Peter had some really good one-on-one hang out time on the couch.

Nonnie read Peter "Twas the Night Before Christmas" at bedtime. He loved it!

Here is the scene on Christmas morning right before Peter came out of his room...

And this is about 5 minutes later when Peter was experimenting with putting his hand in the rotating propeller of his new Mickey Mouse airplane from Nanny.

I made some waffles...

Yum!

Peter liked them. We also discovered that he likes bacon. It's nice to add another protein to his repertoire. Now he'll eat hot dogs AND bacon. What a good boy.

A pile of wrapping paper is just as fun as any present.

And, of course, Peter loves anything with wheels. Thanks for the cars, Grandpa Don & Grandma Pam!

It was a beautiful Christmas Day, and we had lots of fun in the afternoon playing with Peter's new toys in the driveway.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, too!

Naughty or Nice?

I heard some mysterious noises this morning while brushing my teeth. When I came out of the bathroom, this is what I found...

A very happy little boy and a very big mess.

What a nightmare to clean up!

On the other hand, this kept Peter busy for 20 minutes while I got dressed.

So... naughty or nice?

My vote is for the latter.

Holiday Fun & Babygroup Friends

Ta Da! As promised, here is our decorated Christmas tree. Surprisingly, Peter has not broken any ornaments yet.

Peter got this cool sweatsuit (he sort of looks like Tony Soprano) and reindeer headband as a Christmas gift from the woman who runs his day care.

What do you think of the reindeer ears, Peter?

Later in the afternoon, we went over to a babygroup friend's house for a little holiday get together. Here are some of dads with their kids. Cute.

The two girls - Anna and Alexandra

Peter and his friend, Eyal.

Christmas Tree Time

Last weekend, we went to pick out our Christmas tree.

Peter and his Dad did a good job of sizing up the competition.

Peter loved touching the tree. A little tickly, a little prickly. It made him laugh.

"Let's take this one home, please!"

And then Ben got to carry it all the way home. Fun!

If I ever finish decorating, I'll post some pictures what the tree looks like in our living room.

Peter Visits Santa

Today, we heard a rumor that Santa Claus was visiting a mall near us, The Grove.

We got there before Santa did, so we waited in line.

Waiting...

And waiting...

More waiting...

Check out Peter's cute outfit for Santa. You won't see it in the actual Santa photo.

Finally! We got to see Santa. It was totally worth the wait. Can't you tell?

Thanksgiving 2010: A Day of Thanks and Parks

We kicked off Thanksgiving yesterday with Ben's homemade pumpkin pie for breakfast. Yum!

Particularly delicious with a side of Cheerios.

After breakfast, we went to a really fun park called Aiden's Place.

There is tons of stuff to do there, and Peter had a great time checking everything out.

"What's over there?!"

Walking with his dad.

After Peter's nap, we went to another park closer to our house.

This park has sand.

Lots of sand.

And Peter loves sand.

By the time we left, Peter had sand EVERYWHERE. Can you see it inside his ear? Neat.

When we got home (and cleaned up), Peter and his dad watched some cartoons.

Peter also helped load the dishwasher. Thanks, Mister!

I carved our turkey breast.

And set the table.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.

It was really delicious!

Even Peter liked it.

The best part? Beginning and ending the day with pumpkin pie.
