Happy Halloween!

Tonight, we went over to a babygroup friend's house to celebrate Halloween with a bunch of the kiddos from our class.

We tried for a group photo. See if you can find the most unhappy baby in the group.

It was much better when Peter didn't have to pose for photos and could just play with other people's toys.

This is Peter's friend, Lauren. She was dressed as an angel. Sweet.

Dylan was the party hostess. Here she is telling Peter how to jump on her trampoline.

We went trick-or-treating in a really cute neighborhood. All of the houses were decorated and it was packed with people.

Who's that in the banana costume? Hot stuff!

Peter got really good at trick-or-treating. He loved taking the candy and putting in his bag.

Here he is showing off some of his loot. Just wait til next year when he figures out that there is something inside those little packages.

A Spider Visits Imaginary Forces

Since Halloween is also the birthday of Imaginary Forces, there is always a fun costume party there to celebrate.

Peter was pretty excited to put on his spider costume, can't you tell?

There were some other fun costumes, like Brett and Joan, who went as Popeye and Olive Oil.

I'm not really sure what Chip is supposed to be here...?

Little Zach is dressed as an astronaut. Cute.

Brady, who is the same age as Peter, dressed up as a monkey. Check out the pic of us at this party last year.

What a fun party. We can't wait for trick-or-treating tomorrow!

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch

Today, we went to Mr. Bones, the popular celebrity pumpkin patch, which happens to be right by our house.

The paparazzi section is behind that orange fence. Follow this link to see who they were photographing at the same time we were there. Surprisingly, it wasn't us.

Peter did a trial run in his spider costume for next weekend. He kept the costume on for almost 3 minutes while taking a cart ride with some friends.

It is much more fun to climb around than to wear a costume.

Exploring with friends, Alexandra and Eyal.

There was a petting zoo with goats, sheep, chickens and ducks. So cool!

"Hi, goat!" Touching the goat made Peter laugh.

We tried really hard to pet this sheep, but she kept moving. Darn it.

Alexandra is mesmerized, and maybe a little scared, of this chicken.

Eyal is about to go after a chicken, too...

Peter loved all of the pumpkins.

Here he is sitting among the pumpkins, just like last year.

We let Peter pick out his own pumpkin to bring home. He did a great job picking the perfect pumpkin.

A New Appreciation for the Grocery Store

Lately, Peter has not enjoyed our trips to the grocery store as much as he used to. Even if we let him hold something cool, like a package of rice or a bottle of water, he doesn't want to sit in the stroller while we shop.

The other day, we tried something new and borrowed the fancy cart with the car on the front of it from Customer Service. It is life changing. Peter loves it!

Now, we think of excuses to go to the grocery store at least once a day. The grocery store is even more fun than the park.

Here is a short video of Peter discovering the horn on the car. Awesome.

Travel Town

Last weekend, we took Peter to Travel Town in Griffith Park. It is a transportation museum with lots of cool stuff to see.

Peter CAN walk... He just prefers to hold hands. Fine with me.

We went for a ride on the Travel Town Railroad.

How exciting does this look?

The best part about Travel Town? Pushing his own stroller around.

Aloha

Peter got this outfit from a friend who just returned from Hawaii.

"Aloha!"

Looks like we'll need to plan a trip there to maximize the number of times that Peter can wear the outfit. Does anyone want to meet us there for Thanksgiving?

Another Great Class at the BH Library

Last week, the new round of fall classes started at the Beverly Hills Library. This place is amazing! The class that we signed up for is a Parent/Child workshop. Each week the kids play with lots of different toys that supposedly help the synapses in their brains connect (or something like that), and they also bring in a variety of experts on child development to spend one-on-one time with each parent & child. It is a fantastic class!

This is my friend, Sally, and her son, Camden. They were in our very first babygroup session. It was so fun that they got to do the class with us.

Peter's friend, Alex, is in the class, too!

Good job playing, guys.

One of Peter's new favorite activities is to go through tunnels. We need one of these in our living room.

What am I going to do now that I actually have a job? I hate to miss this great class!

Malibu Bluffs

It was 113 degrees in Los Angeles last weekend. To escape the heat, we drove up to Malibu and met our friends for a picnic.

This is Pepperdine University, right across the street from Malibu Bluffs Park. Gorgeous. Why didn't I go to college here?

This is our picnic spot with the ocean in the background. It was only 80 in Malibu. Perfect.

Hi, Peter!

Family portrait. Why can't we ever get a good one?

These are our friends, Lisa, who went to high school with me, her husband, Curzon, and 9-month-old Atticus.
