Valentines, Grandfriends and Soccer

We had the most fun visit from Grandma Dorothy last week. She was here in time for Valentine's Day.

The kids loved coloring their special Valentines.

The next day was Grandfriends' Day at Peter's school. Peter showed off his moves in chapel.

There he is on stage singing one of his faves.

And just in case you want to see him in action...

Peter loved showing Grandma Dorothy his school. (This extra cool spot is by the parking lot. Woo hoo!)

After school, we went for a hike in Franklin Canyon.

Picnic time!

Grandma Dorothy came to soccer on Saturday. Before it started, these two had a blast on the playground.

This one gets a little spicy sometimes.

Such a good boy, sitting on his ball and listening to the coach.

Go, Peter, go!

Spectators.

"Grandma Dorothy, do you want to play soccer with me?"

Dinosaur day!

Yesterday, we went to the Natural History Museum with some friends.

We were there to have fun, but also to take some pics of the kids "with wonderment in their eyes" for a project Ben is doing at work. Here is Peter's friend, Eyal, practicing his poses.

The big dinosaur in the main hall is always cool introduction to the museum.

A look of wonderment? I think so.

The kids really loved the museum's discovery center where they could play with dinosaur bones.

Future archeologists.

Reading about dinosaur bones.

My, what big teeth you have!

Bug examiner.

What in the world is this thing?

It was a fun day with lots of laughs, running around and of course, wonderment.

School

I always love Fridays because it is the one day each week that I get to drop the kids off at school. (I also love Fridays because my kids are at school and I am not at work. Who knew 6 hours a week of time to myself would be such a luxury?)

These pics are from drop off and pick up yesterday. Nothing special, just cute.

Morning hug, after school snack & Clara's portrait of Ben and me...
