Nebraska Recap

We flew on the smallest plane ever from Denver to Kearney. There were only 18 seats and the pilots weren't separated from the cabin. We could see right out the front windows!

We made it safely to Kearney. Whew.

The next day, we took Peter to the Kearney Children's Museum. It was so nice! Here is Peter trying to choose which car to ride in. The pink princess car is pretty tempting...

But in the end, he chose the police car. Fun!

Peter wanted to demonstrate how well he can push things.

Playing with Grandma.

Later that day, we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Bob's for dinner. Here's Simon playing with Grandma. Madeline, in the red shirt, is Bob's oldest granddaughter. She is about to start 1st grade.

Bob grilled delicious burgers and hot dogs.

Peter hung out with Uncle Mitch for a while.

Peter and his cousin, Simon, were vying for Grandma's attention.

After dinner, I took Peter back to the hotel for bedtime and the guys stayed to enjoy cigars and drinks. This is Mike, (who is married to Bob's daughter, Abby), Bob and Bob's son, Pete.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how cool are these two brothers?

How about now?

The picture above was taken on Saturday morning at Hilltop Mall where Dorothy and Bob and their Tango friends staged a Tango Flash Mob. Ben and Mitch recorded it for You Tube.

The dancers just pretended they were shopping until Bob started the music and then all of a sudden couples emerged from different stores and spots in the mall and started tangoing. It was very cool to watch.

There are Dorothy and Bob right in the middle.

Who's that guy with the video camera? Looking good!

Peter slept through the whole thing. Thank goodness cousin Noah was there to keep an eye on him.

Since it was the first Nebraska football game of the season and we were in a mall with lots of sports stores, we bought Peter a Nebraska Blackshirts t-shirt. Here he is with Noah and Simon in all of their Nebraska gear. Go Big Red!

Later that night, there was a big party at Dorothy and Bob's. It was a beautiful night with fun party guests, delicious food and great wine.

In fact, it was such a fun party that I forgot to take any other pictures. Maybe Uncle Mitch can send me some to post?
