Get Well Soon, Myshka

It's a really long story, but our cat, Myshka, went on a strange hunger strike recently. After a week of no eating, we took her to the vet and found out that she has a problem with her liver and had to have a feeding tube inserted into her stomach.

Poor kitty!

Peter came with us to the animal hospital when we picked her up. The doctor gave him a balloon. It sort of scared him at first, but then he loved it.

Myshka will have the feeding tube for a month or two. The vet's assistant gave us lessons on how to feed her. (We have to do this 3-4 times a day!)

Ben is so much better at it than me.

After "eating", Myshka curled up in Peter's stroller.

Peter, meanwhile, tried to get into Myshka's kennel.

Do you think he'll fit?

Pretty close!

Here's Myshka's first meal at home. Delicious.

Ben shot some food onto the ceiling. We're not very good at this, yet.

Snuggle time with my two favorites.

The good news is that Myshka has started to eat a little bit on her own already, so we are hoping that she'll be finished with the feeding tube sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed.

I feel so sorry for Myshka but she is very loved; that's obvious. Peter is learning how important it is to be loving and kind to his kitty.
I love these pictures.

Annabelle, your hair cut is fantastic.

Poor little Myshka. I love the picture of her snuggling on Peter's stroller. Great pictures of your cute family. Give Myshka lots of kisses for us!
LOVE your hair cute, by the way! Very very cute. The picture of the 3 of you needs to be in a big frame! :)

Really sorry to hear about the darling fluffball :( I hope Myshka gets better very soon. Something tells me you may have some funny family moments in the meantime with you nursing the little one while Ben 'nurses' Myshka and Peter wonders what in the hell just happened to his life though!!!
