Sunday School

This morning, Ben took Peter to Sunday School at Bel Air Presbyterian. Ben promised Peter that he would stay with him until he felt ready to be there by himself. Not surprisingly, that meant that Ben was there the entire time.

When they came home, Peter was very excited to tell me about his day.

I'm really proud of my mister. Maybe one day, he'll be able to handle Sunday School by himself.

"Look what I made, Mom!"

Nice face, silly.

"Mom, can I go, too? "

Pink Eye

Peter has pink eye. In both eyes.

Poor guy. I feel so sorry for him.

I also feel sorry for myself. Administering eye drops to a two-year-old is one of the hardest things I've ever done. So far, I have been totally unsuccessful.

Once, when Myshka had an eye infection, we had to apply a gel to her eyeball. That was approximately 700 times easier than putting one drop in Peter's eye.

Do you think she's next? Ugh.

Happier times at the water table.

Mr. Mom

Last weekend, I left Ben at home for three full days and nights with the kids while I went here...

with them.

We had such a great trip, but of course I was wondering about Peter, Ben and Clara the whole time.

Ben sent me some pictures to keep me posted on all the fun they were having without me.

Clara discovered the tunnels at the park. Ben said she didn't want to come out.

Peter prefers climbing to sliding.

"I love the park!"

"And I love our backyard!" (Did it drop 50 degrees or something? What is she wearing?)

Nice thug life pose, Clara. Sherman Oaks, represent!

Peter helped stir.

This is Ben's special recipe "Peas-za". Nice.

More park time. Loving it.

This was the best part of the park. I think they could have stayed here all day.

Good job, Mr. Mom! Let me know when you want to spend a weekend alone with the kids again.

Cheerleader

Look at this sweet little cheerleader on Super Bowl Sunday.

"Go, Bears!"

"What do you mean they're not playing?"

"I'm going to keep cheering anyway."

"Football is pretty fun, Dad!"

Open Play

The best part of our Gymboree membership is Open Play... time that is set aside for the kids to just play and climb and run and throw and dance, etc... without any structured classes.

"Hey, Dad! I see you!"

Clara is getting really good at climbing.

Peter was having a lot of fun, too, when all of a sudden, someone came to join him on the rocking horse.

This little girl was hysterical. She never said a word, but followed Peter from place to place the entire time we were there.

Watching Peter go down the slide...

Hanging out in inner tubes together...

This is pretty cute stuff.

Thanks, Gymboree! We'll be back soon!
